June2007: Magic Dancers to Headline Entertainment on Two Overseas Trips
The Orlando Magic Dancers and Stuff, the Magic mascot, were recently invited to participate in two NBA Madness events in Taiwan and Puerto Rico. The events will include appearances, autograph sessions, performances and much more.

March 2007: Magic Dancers perform in BEKO All-Star Game in Istanbul, Turkey
The Orlando Magic Dancers were invited to perform in the BEKO All-Star Game on March 25, 2007 in Istanbul, Turkey. Eight dancers traveled to Istanbul from March 22 – 26 to participate in the Turkish All-Star events and were the first NBA Dance Team to perform in this fun filled weekend! The Magic Dancers are pictured with the Director of International Relations for the Turkish Basketball Federation, Emir Turam, at a press event for the Turkish All-Star Game.

February 2007: Dancers selected to model in the Capezio Dancewear Catalog and Fashion Show
Magic Dancers Aziza, Danielle, Linda, and April were selected by Capezio to model the latest dance fashions in their national catalog photo shoot! In addition, Aziza and Danielle participated as models in their Dance Retailer News Fashion Show. Danielle and Aziza are pictured above with Brian Friedman, choreographer to the Stars best known for his work on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, following the Fashion Show.

February 2007: Magic Dancer Jane and Stuff travel to the Bahamas Atlantis Resort for video shoot
Magic Dancer Jane and Stuff the Magic Mascot enjoyed a few days in the sun at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas during February! During their time there they filmed a video segment that included footage of them enjoying all the Resort has to offer including their new water park and the Dolphin Cay adventure where they actually got to swim with the dolphins!

January 2007: Dancers appear with Montel Williams!
The Orlando Magic Dancers appeared at the Partnership for Prescription Assistance kick-off event in Orlando on Monday, January 29. Here they are pictured with Montel Williams who is a National Spokesperson for the program. The program seeks to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible.

January 2007: Megan Voted by NBA Fans to represent Orlando on the NBA All-Star Dance Team!
Meagn proudly earned a spot on the first-ever All-Star dance team. Thanks to those fans who voted, the NBA All-Star Dance team is made up of the best of the best dancers from around the League. As a team, they will showcase their skills during exciting fan events such as NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by Adidas, McDonald’s All-Star Celebrity Game presented by 2K Sports, NBA All-Star Saturday Night, and the NBA All-Star Game.

January 13, 2007: Megan Crowned Miss Orlando!
Megan captured the prestigious Miss Orlando crown and a $1,000 educational scholarship on Saturday, January 13, 2007. The 23 year old Sr. attending the University of Central Florida and majoring in Electrical Engineering now advances to the Miss Florida pageant again this June, a Miss America Pageant qualifier. Her pageant platform is helping children who are terminally ill or facing threatening diseases and she was 1st Runner-Up to Miss Florida in 2006. July and August 2006: Magic Dancers and Stuff Go Global
The Orlando Magic Dancers, along with Stuff the Magic Mascot and Kevin Holden, the host of Midnight Magic, embarked on their 3rd Armed Forces Entertainment Tour through Western Europe to entertain U.S. soldiers stationed overseas this 4th of July holiday. Shortly after, the Dunking Dancers and Stuff departed for China to participate in a series of NBA events.

July 2006: Megan is 1st Runner Up at the Miss Florida Pageant
Orlando Magic Dancer Megan placed 1st runner-up in the Miss Florida Pageant on July 8, 2006 winning over $7,000 in academic scholarships to continue pursuing her Electrical Engineering studies at UCF. Megan will now go on to compete against the 1st runners-up from every state at the National Sweetheart Pageant over Labor Day weekend. Congratulations and Good Luck Megan!

May 2006: Magic Dancers in Orlando Style Magazine!

April 2006: Dunking Dancers take their show on the road!
After receiving rave reviews for their performances at NBA All-Star weekend in Houston, the Dunking Magic Dancers have now taken their show on the road! On Sunday, April 2 the Dunking Dancers performed at the NCAA Final Four Weekend events in Indianapolis (pictured, right) and on Saturday, April 8 they performed to screaming fans at an NBDL Florida Flame game in Fort Meyers!

April 2006: Dunking Dancers and Stuff appear in China!
Just two days after the close of the regular season, Magic Dancers Deanna and Lisa along with Stuff the Magic Mascot departed for China to perform in the 18th Annual China Sports Convention.

February 2006: Dunking Dancers perform at the 2006 NBA All-Star Weekend Events in Houston!
The Dunking Magic Dancers had the great honor of being invited to perform at all three days of All-Star Weekend events. This is the third season the Dunking Dancers have entertained the crowds at the TD Waterhouse Centre and the first time they have taken their dunk show on the road. They are the only dance team in the NBA that performs dunks during the games. Stuff, the Magic Mascot, serves as their official dunk trainer.

February 2006: Megan Crowned Miss UCF
Megan captured the prestigious Miss UCF crown on Saturday, February 10, 2006. The 22 year old Junior attending the University of Central Florida advances to the Miss Florida pageant this July, a Miss America Pageant qualifier. Megan majors in electrical engineering at UCF where she was also recently awarded the Founder's Award by the College of Engineering for academic excellence. Her pageant platform is helping children who are terminally ill or facing threatening diseases.

September 2005: Dancers Perform for U.S. Troops in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Iceland
The Orlando Magic Dancers, along with Stuff the Magic Mascot and Kevin Holden, the host of Midnight Magic, embarked on a three-week tour through Western Europe to vist U.S. soldiers stationed overseas. The group performed a one-hour variety show at fourteen different military institutions consisting of songs, dances, and giveaways. They also signed autographs and took photos with the troops. The three-week tour will included stops in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Iceland.

August 2005 - Dancers Attend Pro Dance Convention in Miami
The Orlando Magic Dancers attended the annual Pro Dance Industry Convention, which is a powerhouse week of dance for high-profile choreographers, directors, and dancers representing the NBA, NFL, WNBA, CFL, AFL and other professional sports leagues. During the week the Dancers were exposed to the industry’s highest profile choreographers (world-renowned choreographers such as Tina Landon, Cris Judd, and Brian Friedman), the latest in dance choreography, costuming, and trends so that they can bring you the best entertainment in the upcoming season! We’re proud to announce that at the end of the week 5 year Magic Dancers veteran and Team Leader, Vanessa, was recognized by the Pro Dance Choreographers and awarded a one week dance scholarship to L.A.’s Millennium Dance Complex! A huge accomplishment, Vanessa was 1 of only 8 recipients selected from over 300 camp participants. Magic Dancers Manager/Choreographer, Jeanine Klem-Thomas, said “I am so unbelievably proud of Vanessa and our entire team for representing the Magic so well during the week! We’ve got some incredible new dance routines and other surprises waiting for our fans – you won’t want to miss any games this season!”

July 2005 - Magic Dancer Megan is in the top 10 at the Miss Florida Pageant!
After winning the title of Miss South Florida Fair, Magic Dancer Megan Clementi went on to finish in the Top 10 in the 2005 Miss Florida Competition! Clementi is the third member of the squad since 1997 to make the state competition - a precursor to the Miss America Pageant. Read more on Megan's performance...

June 2005 – 2005-2006 Magic Dancers Squad Selected
The Orlando Magic selected their 2005-06 dance team Thursday, June 23 at Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island. After several rounds of auditions, interviews, and ‘boot camp,’ 18 dancers were selected from 32 finalists in front of a panel of celebrity judges. The Orlando Magic dancers perform at every Orlando Magic home game and are ambassadors throughout the Central Florida community, appearing at a combined 250 events per year. Last December, the 2004-05 dance team completed a 10-day tour of Kosovo and Bosnia sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment.

April 2005 - Dunking Dancers
Back by popular demand, the Magic Dancers were proud to display their trampoline dunking skills again this season! The only NBA Dance Team to display such a feat of athleticism, the Dancers trained for months with our very own Stuff the Magic Mascot! Watch out Dwight Howard, here come the Dunking Dancers!

February 2005 - Pennzoil Change for Charity
Members of the Orlando Magic Dancers cheered on Champion Kurt Busch and members of the Orlando Jiffy Lube’s finest crew members as they shattered the record for the most oil changes in one hour, completing 116 oil changes, that’s nearly two vehicles per minute and more than 18,500 ounces of oil! The previous record was 58 oil changes in one hour set by Tomas Scheckter and his race team at last year’s Indy 500 event.

All the oil changes were free to the public with Pennzoil donating the cost of each oil change during this two hour event to the Children’s Safety Village of Central Florida, serving more than 60,000 children each year providing hands-on injury prevention programs. The event raised more than $3,800.00 for this organization.

February 2005: Dancing Dads
As part of its Total Team Entertainment, the Magic Dancers got their Dads into the act! With their big debut on Tuesday, February 15, at the Magic v. Clippers game, the Dancing Dancer Dads (3D) received a standing ovation after they took over the dance floor from the Magic Dancers and did their own version of 'Lean Back'...showing Magic fans just where their daughters got their moves...or in some cases, that their daughters got their moves from their mother's side of the family! Jan. 2005: Dance Championship held
On Saturday, Jan. 22 the Orlando Magic Dancers hosted the 3rd annual Orlando Magic State Dance Championship! Twenty six teams representing schools, studios, and all-star groups competed for an opportunity to perform at pre-game or halftime of the Magic v. Philadelphia game that night! Pictured above are the winners in the 10th-12th Grade Jazz Dance Division from Dance Mania in Melbourne who earned the privilege of performing during pre-game! We’d also like to recognize the Overall Grand Champions for receiving the highest score of the competition, the Dance Mania Srs. performing a pom pom routine during halftime of the game that night!

Jan. 2005: Megan Crowned Miss South Florida Fair
Megan captured the prestigious Miss South Florida Fair crown on Saturday, January 15, 2005. The 21 year old Junior attending the University of Central Florida bested 12 other contestants and advances to the Miss Florida pageant later this year, a Miss America Pageant qualifier. Megan was first runner-up in Miss South Florida Fair a year ago. “It was for fun last year,” she said. “I wanted to win this year.” Megan majors in electrical engineering at UCF. Her pageant platform is helping children who are terminally ill or facing threatening diseases. In addition to winning tonight’s coveted title, Megan takes home $3,000 in scholarship funds and $1,000 in cash prize.

Dec. 2004: Dancers Perform for U.S. Troops in Bosnia and Kosovo
The Orlando Magic Dancers returned Thursday from a 10-day trip to Kosovo and Bosnia sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment. In addition to performing a one-hour variety show at four base camp locations, the dancers and Stuff the Magic Mascot conducted autograph/photo sessions, visited schools, and dined with the troops. Troops were also shown highlights from recent Orlando Magic games and videotaped messages from Head Coach Johnny Davis, Magic players and Magic owner Rich DeVos.

Nov. 2004: Dancers Perform in Orlando Opera’s Season Opener ‘Salome’
The Orlando Magic Dancers proudly partnered with the Orlando Opera again this year with a feature performance in the Opera’s Season Opener Salome in November. In addition, Magic Dancer Vanessa was selected as the Orlando Opera’s poster girl for Salome (pictured). One of the most exciting and compelling experiences of the operatic stage, Salome features erotic and murderous elements. The story explores how far people will go to get what they want as powerful leaders reach extreme degrees to satisfy their obsessions. The volcanic music includes the famous Dance of the Seven Veils, which featured a dynamic dance performance by Orlando Magic Dancers Vanessa, Cherie, Megan, Erica, Lisa, and Deanna. Drawn from the Bible, Salome is based on the translation of Oscar Wilde's play.

Nov. 2004: Magic Dancers Unveil Swimsuit Calendar at an Exclusive Event
Only the second time a Magic Dancers calendar has been produced, the Dancers were proud to un-veil it on November 18 at an exclusive event in the Monte Cristo Club at TD Waterhouse. With over 175 guests in attendance, the event was a great success and a portion of the proceeds were donated to the Dancers’ designated charity, Challenger Little League. Sept. 2004: Deanna Competes in ESPN Reality Show
Orlando Magic Dancer Deanna recently competed in a new ESPN Reality Show. The show, I'd Do Anything, is based upon contestants duking it out in a number of physical and mental challenges (think Fear Factor sans the eating) to win the opportunity of a lifetime...not for themselves, but for a loved one! In Deanna's case, she competes to win her Mother's sports meet and cycle with Lance Armstrong!
