Read to Achieve is a year-round campaign to help young people develop a life-long love for reading and encourage adults to read regularly with children. Reaching an estimated 50 million children a year, Read to Achieve is the most extensive educational outreach initiative in the history of professional sports

Locally, the Orlando Magic Read to Achieve program targets children in kindergarten through fifth grade in the Central Florida area that helps them develop an interest in reading. The Orlando Magic has identified Read to Achieve Partner Schools in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia and Brevard counties. These schools receive player appearances, books, a financial stipend to enhance the school’s media center and incentive items.

Read to Achieve Reading Rallies The Orlando Magic Community Relations Department began their Read to Achieve Season by hosting Reading Rallies to encourage the students to develop a love for reading. Stuff, the Magic Dancers, Kevin Holden & Dee Brown all participated in these events. Each school set their own goals for the students to achieve and for each level obtained, the students received special prizes... Read to Achieve Pledge
Reading is fun and books are cool too, I will read a book daily to learn something new. I will learn different words and I will listen in school, when teachers read stories and share reading rules. I will practice my skills in every way, reading is something I can do every day. Reading offers great adventures to me, reading will help me be the best I can be.
