Orlando Magic Host Project CREATE Exposition
Project CREATE Exposition allows for local school children to display creative projects they have made and participate in fun-filled events such as the egg drop and paper airplane and bridge building competitions. The Orlando Magic is offering discounted tickets to the students, parents, teachers and volunteers of Project CREATE to the Magic’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers that evening and will recognize all the participants in attendance during halftime. Project CREATE Exposition is open to the public and media.
About Project CREATE:
Project CREATE (Creative Responses from Elementary Age ThinkErs), is a program developed and initiated by the Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society in 1988 to help elementary school students better understand the creative thinking and problem solving process and get them interested in engineering at an early age. It has expanded from four schools to more than 20 elementary schools from Orange and Seminole Counties. The introduction to creative thinking and problem solving is accomplished by presenting the students with an engineering challenge that the entire class works on together to develop a solution.
This year, the Project CREATE program heightens the prestige of problem solving by bringing the exposition to Amway Arena, home of the Orlando Magic.
