J.J. Redick Named the Ace Hardware “Helpful Player of the Month”

December 14, 2007

Ace Hardware, in conjunction with the Orlando Magic, will honor one Magic player each month during the 2007-08 season as the Ace Hardware “Helpful Player of the Month.” Each selection will be based on their dedication to the Central Florida community and will exemplify Ace’s vision as “The Helpful Place.”

J.J. Redick has been named the December Ace Hardware “Helpful Player of the Month” for his willingness to give back to the community over the past month. Among his volunteer activities during December include visiting with children at Florida Children’s Hospital on December 6, donating his time to host a one-on-one clinic with a local youth, and on December 20, Redick will be going on a holiday shopping spree with 50 children from the Apopka Boys and Girls Club to ensure they have gifts this holiday season. Redick has frequently donated his time in Central Florida over the past two years and was a finalist for the 2007 Rich and Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award last March.
