The Orlando Magic surprised the March Educator of the Month, Zach Darnell, in his classroom and presented him with $500 in Quill cash towards school supplies. He was also told that he would receive tickets to the Wednesday, March 12th Orlando Magic home game and be recognized on court.

The Orlando Magic, along with STUFF the Magic Mascot and Magic Dancers, surprised its 5th Educator of the Month presented by Quill.com, Stephanie Middleton, in her classroom at Professional & Technical High School (PATHS) on February 6. Middleton, who teaches World History at PATHS, was presented with $500 in Quill cash towards school supplies. She was also the Magic’s guest at the game on Wednesday, Feb. 12 when the Magic took on the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Orlando Magic, along with STUFF the Magic Mascot and Magic Dancers, surprised its third Educator of the Month presented by Quill.com, Tammy Herburger, in her classroom at Palm Bay High School on December 10. Herburger, who teaches theatre at Palm Bay, was presented with $500 in Quill cash towards school supplies. She will also be the Magic’s guest at the game on Wednesday, Dec. 18 when the Magic take on the Jazz with tip-off set for 7 p.m.

Dorina has passionately dedicated her time as a mentor and role model for at-risk English Language Learners, empowering them to empower themselves, thus helping them make more positive choices. Most importantly, with her engaging and optimistic outlook, Ms. Sackman inspires teachers, students and parents to come together and make education a first priority. “I believe in a world where every child deserves a quality education," she said. Lake Brantley High School is thrilled with Adam’s success in teaching English to students challenged by the rigors of the FCAT. His respect for student potential and high standards of expectation for them had a climate-changing effect in the classroom. Beyond the classroom, Adam proved to be a visionary who was passionate in advancing causes he cared about. His infectious enthusiasm would engage a plethora of people from the staff, student body and community. To round out his five-year career at Lake Brantley, Adam accepted the temporary role of Dean for a few months this year. Adam met the challenge and made a difference for the administrative staff and the students assigned to his building. Adam Sherman represents the best of public education.
