Cohen's Analysis: There is obvious tension and turmoil brewing in Minnesota between All-Star forward Kevin Love and the Wolves organization.
Love’s contract lasts until at least 2015 (player option for subsequent season), but if Minnesota fails to reach the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season, the rigidity may be too agonizing to handle for both the player and team.
In effect, it wouldn’t shock me if next summer the Wolves flirt with trading Love. It’s extremely premature to start hypothesizing potential deals and what Minnesota would expect in return for him, but Love is a centerpiece that all 29 other teams would probably love to have.
