Cohen's Analysis: What is the Magic’s fourth-quarter secret? Is it execution, is it confidence or is it inspiration from the rasping crowd?
There has always been this belief that unless you have a go-to No. 1 option, you can’t win close games down the stretch. The Magic are proving that to be a fallacy after every sensational fourth-quarter effort this season.
Winning against a vastly improved and suddenly healthier team with playoff aspirations like the Wolves after trailing by as many as 15 suggest the Magic are not backing down under any circumstances.
Pressure doesn’t overwhelm them and there is never any quit even when things seem bleak. After 24 games, you could argue this is the most well-organized and cohesive Magic team ever.
Credit to Jacque Vaughn and the coaching staff for always being so prepared and instilling a ton of confidence in everyone who steps out on the court for the Magic.
