Cohen’s Analysis: Well before he was considered a phenomenon, Oladipo was starting to show off his potential as a solid complementary piece to Indiana’s resurgence. In the Sweet 16 of the 2012 tournament, Oladipo scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting against the eventual champs, Kentucky.
But it was the following season – a year in which the Hoosiers were ranked No. 1 in the country for a portion of the season -- Oladipo transformed into one of the top NBA prospects.
Against Temple in the second round, Victor saved Indiana from a shocking upset when he buried a clutch 3-pointer with 14 seconds left. He would deliver another excellent performance in the Sweet 16 vs. Syracuse, but it was a little too much Michael Carter-Williams as the Orange eliminated the Hoosiers in Washington D.C.
