Cohen’s Analysis: There is one word that is constantly associated with his name, Amnesty. It’s a peculiar case of a player who has played decently in three years but because of a team’s expectations and the contract they awarded him with continues to be criticized and ridiculed.

Boozer’s stats since signing with the Bulls are only slightly lower than what his production was with the Jazz in the preceding years. But by playing in a huge market for a contract that totaled $75 million over five years, it just hasn’t been satisfactory for those hungry fans in Chicago.

With Derrick Rose’s future uncertain and with the Bulls no longer in the discussion as a championship contender, many assume Chicago will use the amnesty provision on Boozer next summer.
