Cohen 8-Ball: Reliving Magical Moments
OrlandoMagic.com’s Josh Cohen describes memorable plays and moments in franchise history.
No Stopping T-Mac
Tracy McGrady delivered several remarkable performances during his four years with the Magic, including a franchise-record 62-point effort against the Wizards and back-to-back 40-plus point outings against the Pistons in the 2003 playoffs.
T-Mac also had an innate ability to score in pressure-packed moments. There are two in particular that stand out during his tenure in Orlando.
One occurred during his inaugural campaign with the Magic when he finished off a 44-point night with a game-winning driving bank shot against the Sixers on March 28, 2001.
The next big shot from McGrady came on Feb. 1, 2002 when he drilled a game-winning jumper over the fingertips of Clifford Robinson with 1.8 seconds left against the Pistons.
