Cohen 8-Ball: Ranking 2013-14 Best Power Forwards

#3 Al Horford

Cohen’s Analysis: With Josh Smith and Joe Johnson far away from Atlanta these days, Horford will be the focal point for the Hawks on a nightly basis. Even as a third, occasionally fourth option in prior years, Horford excelled as a pick-and-pop specialist and a reliable bruiser inside. He averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game last year and those statistics will only rise playing for Mike Budenholzer, who continues to rave about Horford’s potential.

Now, we will get a chance to see Horford concentrate on his improved post game. His footwork is noticeably enhanced and his touch with either hand around the basket is more consistent.
