Cohen 8-Ball: Ranking 2013-14 Best Point Guards

#7 Eric Bledsoe

Cohen’s Analysis: Credit to all the NBA executives and scouts who were salivating over Bledsoe’s potential when he was getting limited minutes playing behind Chris Paul in Los Angeles. Though the Suns clearly yearned for Bledsoe when they acquired him as part of a three-team blockbuster deal over the summer, they probably didn’t even think he would be this good this fast.

Phoenix, off to a surprising 5-3 start, has rapidly become one of the most intriguing teams to watch this season. And it’s mostly because of Bledsoe, who has shown to adapt to being an effective pick-and-pop specialist all while limiting opposing team’s point guards to pedestrian performances. He is a fierce competitor and far more aggressive and willing to carry a team than most anticipated.
