Cohen 8-Ball: NBA Trade Proposals (12/19/13)

Cohen’s Analysis: It’s just becoming more and more peculiar that despite such staggering and extraordinary statistics from Kevin Love the Wolves are still going to struggle for a playoff spot this season. Remember, they haven’t reached the postseason since 2004.

While it’s unpredictable what Love will do when he becomes a FA in 2015, we do know he has more value now in the trade market than he ever will. Aside from the proven pieces, Faried and Gallinari, who is still recovering from an ACL injury, the two draft picks Minnesota would obtain could become very enticing especially this upcoming June when the draft class is expected to be loaded and unparalleled.

If Love were to bolt Denver in '15, the Nuggets would likely be a lottery team in time for the 2016 draft (Denver currently can swap picks with NY that year depending on who has higher choice) and the 2014 selection, which also has stipulations to it, could be very attractive if the Knicks fail to make the playoffs this season.
