WHY FOR PACERS?

Cohen’s Analysis: It’s official that Indiana is a legitimate championship contender. And it has evolved into one without Danny Granger, who continues to be plagued by knee and calf problems. While Granger is on the verge of returning, it’s very unlikely he will make a big impact for a team with title aspirations. The Pacers should take advantage of his expiring $14 million contract and add a player with a scorer’s mentality.

Eric Gordon, who is from Indiana and played for the Hoosiers, would help the Pacers down the stretch of games when they need a big basket. Right now, there is excessive pressure on Paul George to fulfill that requirement.
