Cohen's Analysis: Is it just me or does it seem like every time Kyle O’Quinn plays he makes a big difference? KO became the darling of the NCAA tournament last year when his Spartans of Norfolk State eliminated the highly favored Missouri Tigers. And now a year later, O’Quinn is proving to be a worthy second round draft pick of the Magic.

You have to adore Kyle’s toughness and his ability to knock down shots. While he will likely never be a full-time starter in the NBA, it’s not far-fetched to project O’Quinn as one of those reliable reserves who provides an instant spark off the bench. The guy that comes to mind when I try to compare O’Quinn to someone in the league is Kurt Thomas, who is now in his 18th year in the NBA.
