Cohen's Analysis: No, DeQuan Jones hasn’t played much this season and there really are no major expectations for him. However, when you reflect back on his improbable journey to the NBA, just seeing his name in a box score is rather astonishing.

Jones went undrafted last June but had caught the attention of the Magic’s basketball operations department while he played his college ball at Miami. After joining the Magic’s training camp roster, DJ went on a tear in the preseason, which earned him a contract for this season.

It’s impossible to predict whether Jones will be a mainstay in Orlando, but if he continues to progress; don’t be surprised if his freakish athleticism keeps him in the NBA for a while.
