Cohen’s Analysis: There were hints during the offseason that Andrew Nicholson was expanding his offensive repertoire. In addition to augmenting his low-post arsenal – something he has always excelled at because of his impressive footwork and feathery touch around the basket – Drew was allegedly working hard on extending his shooting range.

He demonstrated it occasionally during the FIBA Americas competition while playing for Team Canada and now has advanced his ability to knock down long distance jumpers with the Magic.

If Nicholson can become a proficient 3-point shooter – and his form looks solid after two preseason games – he will help space the floor more effectively.
