OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER

CHANCES OF WINNING TITLE: 18%

Cohen’s Analysis: You have to assume that if Russell Westbrook wasn’t injured last season the Thunder would have, at minimum, advanced to the conference finals. While James Harden’s departure makes them slightly less threatening than when they reached the NBA Finals in 2012, Kevin Durant and Westbrook are arguably the most electrifying duo in the league and are improved from two seasons ago.

The pressure on Durant is growing and if OKC comes up short this season scrutiny will inflate on him and the Thunder. The undeniable concern for the Thunder remains their inability to effectively play out of the post and their limited and unproven bench.
