CHOICE A: Your team has home-court advantage in the First Round of the playoffs but will have to face an opponent that has beaten you in each regular season meeting that year

CHOICE B: Your team does NOT have home-court advantage in the First Round of the playoffs but will face a team you have beaten in each regular season meeting that year

Cohen’s Analysis: Having the home court edge is often a huge advantage in the NBA, especially in the first two rounds. I’m not as concerned about what happened in the regular season because circumstances are different, players could have been injured and the crowd probably didn’t have as much of an influence as it will in the postseason. I take Choice A in a heartbeat.
