LeBron James will capture his third straight league MVP award and fifth in the last six years
Cohen’s Opinion: Unconvinced
The league is always looking to endorse a “new” star. If the MVP race is neck-and-neck between LeBron and any other challenger, a three-peat is suspect.
There are a few prospective contenders. Kevin Durant, for one, has been knocking on the door the last three years. If OKC manages to excel while Russell Westbrook recovers, it will support Durant’s status. James Harden, Paul George and Stephen Curry are three other blossoming superstars to keep an eye on.
