Cohen's Analysis: It was a West-coast trip for the ages. The Magic went on a rampage, winning four straight road contests in early 2009 against a few of the league’s elite including the Spurs, Lakers and Nuggets.
But the performance that was most enthralling during that voyage was in Sacramento when Orlando set an NBA record with 23 made 3-point field goals on Jan. 13, 2009. The Houston Rockets matched this record on Feb. 5, 2013.
Jameer Nelson went a perfect 5-for-5 from downtown, J.J. Redick and Keith Bogans each buried four, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu had three a piece and Courtney Lee, Anthony Johnson, Brian Cook and Jeremy Richardson each added one from beyond the arc.
