Cohen's Analysis: The Orlando Magic have groomed two of the most dominant centers in NBA history, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard. Yet neither – in Orlando and then afterwards as well – have ever notched more than 28 rebounds. Shaq grabbed 28 off the glass in 1993 and Dwight’s Orlando-best was 26 done twice.

Perhaps it’s only fitting that the Magic’s freshest big man, Nikola Vucevic, swiftly surpassed both of them.

Against the defending NBA champion Miami Heat on December 31, 2012, Vucevic recorded a franchise-record 29 rebounds and in a flash helped people forget about Howard’s departure.
