Cohen’s Analysis: On paper you have to think the Nets have the whole package to compete against the Heat or any other elite team.
A starting five of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Brook Lopez sounds mighty.
The question, however, is how much does KG and Pierce have left in the tank and will D-Will play at an All-Star pace for an entire season, will Lopez take the next step in his blossoming career and will Johnson be healthy enough to be a factor in the playoffs?
I believe Brooklyn is the best team in the league if all those uncertainties are answered encouragingly. And I also feel Jason Kidd was born to coach even though he is one of the greatest players in NBA history.
