#4 C.J. McCollum, Blazers

Cohen’s Analysis: Portland is becoming the house of mid-major heroes. First it was Damian Lillard, who was extraordinary in his rookie campaign after starring at Weber State. Now McCollum, a prodigy from little-known Lehigh, has the opportunity to follow in his footsteps.

While some figured he would be a point guard in the NBA, McCollum’s outstanding shooting distance should allow him to do just fine as Lillard’s complement in the backcourt. Credit to the Blazers’ willingness to not make assumptions about players not getting the spotlight in college.
