PICK #4: CODY ZELLER
Cohen’s Analysis: The criticism on Zeller in college has been spot on in the early stages of his NBA career. He often seems overwhelmed by stronger and quicker opponents, doesn’t have a plethora of post moves and is a liability on defense. At some point you have to figure the Bobcats will be able to capitalize on his strengths, which include his ability to run the floor and hit outside shots in a pick-and-pop formula.
BOLD PREDICTION: Zeller’s high IQ and relentless energy will eventually mold him into a dependable pro. But was the signing of Al Jefferson last summer a hindrance to his growth and development? Zeller needs to play in a faster paced offensive mode, which is the opposite of what Jefferson prefers.
