PICK #8: KENTAVIOUS CALDWELL-POPE

Cohen’s Analysis: The Pistons are asking Caldwell-Pope for more than he can handle right now and it’s because he is the only true shooting guard on the roster. While he has started in most of Detroit’s games this season and has played in significant minutes, Caldwell-Pope has scored in double figures just 10 times in the first 36 contests.

BOLD PREDICTION: I am skeptical of players who weren’t a part of a winning culture in college. In Caldwell-Pope’s two years at Georgia he never led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament let alone a winning record. It’s never easy playing alongside Brandon Jennings, who controls the ball on most possessions. I envision Caldwell-Pope being a decent role player for several years and more specifically a 3-point specialist in the NBA.
