PICK #14: SHABAZZ MUHAMMAD

Cohen’s Analysis: It’s hard to believe that Shabazz was the most highly touted prospect in his high school recruiting class. Some thought it was a foregone conclusion that he would be a surefire first overall NBA draft pick. But his flaws were revealed in his only year in college at UCLA and he dropped to the 14th pick last June.

BOLD PREDICTION: Shabazz Muhammad will bounce around the NBA for several years but struggle to find his niche. If he can accept being a role player and not rely exclusively on his scoring aptitude, Shabazz can become a solid reserve. If not, we may be looking at another Michael Beasley.
