#3 Miami Heat
          VS.
#6 New York Knicks

WHY MIA #3: Dwyane Wade’s knee problems are disconcerting and Chris Bosh’s recent playoff failures are striking. There is more pressure than ever on the Heat. They are trying to become just the fourth franchise in NBA history to three-peat and LeBron James may test free agency next summer. Miami is not concerned with the regular season enough to assure a higher seed. Expect a slight plummet in total wins this year because of that outlook.

WHY NYK #6: Carmelo Anthony saves them from a mammoth downfall, but Amar’e Stoudemire’s continual injury troubles, J.R. Smith’s unpredictability and Andrea Bargnani’s defensive limitations may cause a tumble in the standings. Surrendering Steve Novak may impact New York’s perimeter shooting and Jason Kidd’s retirement as a player may result in a leadership divide.

SERIES OUTCOME: HEAT in 5
