#2 Brooklyn Nets
          VS.
#7 Cleveland Cavaliers

WHY BKN #2: They aren’t as in concord as the Bulls but they are loaded with talent, experience and direction. Sure, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are not what they were five years ago, but they will provide a major boost to everyone in that locker room. Health is obviously a concern – particularly for Deron Williams and Joe Johnson who were injury-riddled last season – but the Nets have more ambition than ever. And Brook Lopez is the league’s most potent offensive big man.

WHY CLE #7: This season could go either way for the Cavs. If Kyrie Irving and Andrew Bynum are healthy for most of the year and if Anthony Bennett proves his worth as a No. 1 overall pick, Cleveland will be a playoff team. If injuries derail their progress and if the development of the young guys like Bennett, Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters unravels, it could be another long season for the Cavaliers.

SERIES OUTCOME: NETS in 5
