11/9/13 at HAWKS

OPPONENT ANALYSIS: When they traded Joe Johnson last year and when they made it apparent they were not planning to offer Josh Smith a max contract, it seemed the Hawks were choosing to start from scratch and rebuild. However, Atlanta didn’t quite navigate down that path. It signed Paul Millsap to a two-year, $19 million contract, agreed to retain Kyle Korver for four years and $24 million and matched Milwaukee’s offer sheet for Jeff Teague worth $32 million over four years. The Hawks will likely challenge for one of the final playoff spots this season, but isn’t that the least desirable position to be in these days?

BEST STORYLINE: The Hawks have won 10 straight regular season games over the Magic. Will this finally be an opportunity for Orlando to break through to secure a victory over its archrivals? Well, the Magic will be visiting Atlanta one night after playing at home against Boston and Atlanta will be returning to Philips Arena following a three-game West coast trip.
