George Needs More MVP Cheer

Josh Cohen’s Analysis (Jan. 22, 2014): The Indiana Pacers are the league’s top team and Paul George, averaging better than 23 points and six rebounds and arguably the league’s most lethal defensive wing, is the team’s best player.

Yet practically nobody seems to seriously be considering George for the MVP award. That’s not to say people aren’t including him in the “discussions,” but most seem to believe the honor will go to either LeBron James or Kevin Durant.

No disrespect to James or Durant, who has been absolutely sensational lately with scoring outputs of 46, 48 twice and a career-best 54 in four of his last 10 games, but George’s Pacers have been unconquerable and he has generally been more consistent than both LBJ and KD so far this season.
