Kent Bazemore Undergoes Successful Surgery

EL SEGUNDO - Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Kent Bazemore underwent successful surgery today to repair the torn peroneus longus tendon in his right foot. The surgery was performed by Dr. Kenneth Hunt of the Stanford University Medical School. Bazemore is expected to make a full recovery by the start of the 2014-15 season.

In 23 games (15 starts) with the Lakers after being acquired from the Golden State Warriors at the trade deadline on February 19, Bazemore averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 28.0 minutes. In that time, Bazemore set single-game career marks in points (23), assists (eight), rebounds (seven), steals (six) and field goals made (nine), while leading the team in minutes played six times.
