Playoff Postcards from Dallas

5/07 Saturday Practice
Everyone knows what's on the line. The three-peat … Phil Jackson's almost ridiculous quest for a fourth three-peat in his final season … legendary status in NBA annals … Kobe Bryant chasing Michael Jordan's sixth title … and so on, and so forth.
Lakers Fall to Mavs in Game 3
Despite 21 points and 10 rebounds from Andrew Bynum, the Lakers were unable to hold off the Mavericks in Friday's 98-92 Game 3 loss in Dallas. Lamar Odom scored 18 and Kobe Bryant added 17 but L.A. finds itself in an 0-3 hole with Game 4 set for Sunday afternoon.
5/05 Tuesday Practice
You'd almost have forgotten that the Lakers were in an 0-2 Western Semi's hole to Dallas judging from the team's upbeat mood at Thursday's practice. Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant were among those relaying the mindset heading into Game 3 at Dallas.
Ron Artest Suspended
Ron Artest has been suspended one game without pay for swinging his arm and striking the face of the Dallas Mavericks' J.J. Barea at the end of Game 2. Artest will miss Game 3 in Dallas on Friday.
