“WIN A GAME WITH THE LAKERS” OFFICIAL RULES
To enter, visit www.lakers.com or sign-up at Lakers’ customer service booths in STAPLES Center on any Lakers home game night for the remainder of the Lakers participation in the NBA playoffs for the 2003-04 season. Limit one entry per person. Chances of winning depend upon the number of entries received.
Decisions regarding eligibility, selection of winner, and any other elements of this promotion will be made by the Lakers whose decisions shall be considered final. Winner will be chosen by random drawing of all eligible entries received three weeks after the final game played by the Lakers during the NBA playoffs for the 2003-04 Lakers season and will be contacted by email and/or telephone. In the event the winner cannot be contacted by the Lakers within five (5) business days following the first attempt at such contact by the Lakers or if the winner declines the prize another winner will be selected.
The winner will receive 4 seats to a 2004-2005 regular season Lakers home game at STAPLES Center. Exact location will be chosen by Lakers staff from within sections 101, 102, 110, 111, 112 or 119 at a game of the contestant winner’s choice. Winner will also receive a pre-game meet and greet for four (4) people with a Lakers player (“Player”). Selection of the Player is at the sole discretion of the Lakers. The winning prize is non-transferable to any other person, including relatives or friends. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and any expenses associated with the receipt and use of the prize. Winner will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the value of prize. As a condition to receipt of the prize, winner shall execute and deliver to the Lakers an affidavit of eligibility and waivers of liability and publicity. No substitution of the prize or any part thereof will be permitted, except that the Lakers reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute all or any portion of the prize with either the face value of the prize or such portion thereof, or a prize or prizes of equal or greater value thereto. Approximate retail value of prize is $740.00.
A list of winners can be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope on or before the date 3 weeks after the final game played by the Lakers during the NBA playoffs for the 2003/04 Lakers season to “Win a game with the Lakers – Winners List” at 555 N. Nash St., El Segundo, CA 90245. By entering, entrant agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and hold harmless and indemnify the Lakers, and/or the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant’s participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prize awarded in the promotion.
In consideration for being awarded the prize, winner hereby agrees and consents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind, to the use of winner’s name and/or likeness in any and all advertising, promotions and other publicity conducted by the Lakers, and/or the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, except where prohibited. Contest void where prohibited.
