Special Olympics 40th Birthday Celebration on October 4, 2009

Join Special Olympics Southern California as they celebrate their 40th birthday at the Pier del Sol family event on Sunday, Oct. 4.

To celebrate their birthday, they will honor the Los Angeles Lakers. Jerry West and James Worthy will be there along with Honorary Chair Maria Shriver and other celebrities. More than 35 of LA’s top restaurants will host an outdoor brunch, and local bakeries will compete in a cake-off to see who can bake the best birthday cake! In addition to the food, there will be music, rides, games, a silent auction, and other activities.
