Lantz will team with Joel Meyers, who was recently hired as the team’s play-by-play announcer. The duo will serve as the broadcasting team for all Lakers home broadcasts on FSN West and away broadcasts on KCAL-TV.

Lantz, a former Laker during the 1970s, has served as the team’s color commentator since 1987 and has received numerous awards over the years. Chosen Southern California’s best radio commentator in six of the last seven years by the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Association, he has also been named best television commentator four times.
