
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., July 6 -- The Los Angeles Lakers have signed first round draft pick Jordan Farmar, it was announced by General Manager Mitch Kupchak. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Farmar, the 26th overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft, was an early entry candidate out of UCLA. Selected to the first team All-Pac-10 last season, the 6-2 guard helped lead his team to the 2006 NCAA championship game before being defeating by Florida. Farmar finished his career at UCLA averaging 13.5 points and 5.2 assists in 66 games.
Farmar is currently a member of the Lakers’ Summer Pro League team which will tip off its season on Saturday, July 8 taking on Memphis at 3pm at the Pyramid in Long Beach.
