2014 NBA Draft Profile: Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year and was a unanimous selection for the All-Big 12 First Team. He set the Kansas freshman single-season scoring record with 597 points, surpassing Ben McLemore's mark of 589 set last year. Wiggins also broke the KU freshman single game scoring record with 41 points at West Virginia on Mar. 8, becoming the first Jayhawk to break the 40-point barrier since Terry Brown's 42 in 1991. The Canada native set KU freshman season records in scoring average (17.1), field goals attempted (422), free throws made (176) and free throws attempted (227).

From ESPN's Chad Ford (Insider):

"He has elite size and elite athletic abilities for his position. He's already a lock-down defender. He's a hard worker and a great teammate. He already possesses a ton of NBA tools and won't have to face zone defenses every night, which should open up the game for him."

*Wiggins did not participate at the NBA Draft Combine.
