The Lakers have decided to shut Xavier Henry down for the remainder of an injury-riddled season that has seven games left to play.

Henry, who's been battling a sore knee since suffering a bone bruise and abnormality of the lateral meniscus on Dec. 29, also tore a ligament in his wrist against on March 21. Henry played a total of 56 minutes in three games since the wrist injury, but has sustained continued soreness in the knee.

The fourth-year pro will have missed a total of 32 games after Friday night's contest against Dallas, and will finish the season with just 43 games played.

Henry averaged a career-high 10 points per game in 21.1 minutes per night, adding 1.0 steals while shooting 41.7 percent from the floor and 34.6 percent from three.
