“Courtside View” Presented by Mercedes Benz Dealers of Southern California Delivers the Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Lakers Game with Natural Sound, Low Camera Angles

The November 18 “Courtside View” Presentation is Side-by-Side with Traditional Lakers Game Coverage on Fox Sports WEST

Los Angeles – On Tuesday, November 18, 2008, Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET will deliver the Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Lakers game in their signature event coverage style.  “Courtside View” presented by Mercedes Benz Dealers of Southern California on PRIME TICKET will present the game through low camera angles with natural sound.  Fox Sports WEST, the destination for the most local Lakers coverage, will air the Bulls-Lakers contest using traditional fixed camera positions and an expert announcing booth. Both telecast versions of the game will be available on HD.

“Courtside View”, hosted by Bill Macdonald, airs from 7:30 to 10 PM on PRIME TICKET.  “Courtside View” is achieved using hand-held cameras placed at various locations along the perimeter of the court.  The experience is completed through the use of robotic cameras that shoot the game from the baskets and a mobile camera which is used to capture the arena and game as a fan would see it roaming to and from his/her seat. 

The “Courtside View” experience continues during game breaks, commercial breaks and halftime when Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET reporters interact with fans who are also sitting courtside. To further the insider experience, natural sounds of the game provide the audio on “Courtside View” and on-screen graphics and commercial breaks are minimal.

Bulls-Lakers game telecast presentation on Fox Sports WEST also begins at 7:30 PM on November 18.  Upon tip-off, viewers will enjoy the game narrative from Lakers legendary broadcasting team of Announcer Joel Meyers and Analyst Stu Lantz.  Also featured in the game coverage are Reporters Michael Eaves, Patrick O’Neal and Chris McGee, and, Analysts Norm Nixon and Michael Cage.

A post-game “Lakers Live” at 10 PM concludes the evening on Fox Sports WEST.

This is the fourth year Fox Sports WEST and PRIMETICKET have provided Lakers fans with a “Courtside View”. Last year, “Courtside View” featured a match-up between the Lakers and Celtics. Fox Sports WEST and PRIMETICKET have also offered baseball fans a “Dugout View” twice on an Angels telecast and have also featured a “Rinkside View” of a Kings vs. Ducks contest last fall.
