WRAPUP
If you like hearing Phil Jackson and Mitch Kupchak talk about basketball and the Lakers, it was a good day for you. In the first ever live Lakers.com streaming video Lakers Town Hall, which went out from L.A.’s practice facility on Thursday afternoon, radio voice Spero Dedes presided over a series of interesting questions sent in by season ticket holders that were answered by Jackson and Kupchak. The questions ranged from the technical (which five players comprise L.A.’s best lineup?) to the entertaining (which courtside celebrity knows the most about basketball?), and L.A.’s basketball brain trust was happy to weigh in. To the first question, Jackson replied that the group of guys that trusts each other the most in the clutch is Derek Fisher, Kobe Bryant, Sasha Vujacic/Luke Walton, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol, though in certain matchups he feels comfortable playing Trevor Ariza as well. The head coach tabbed Denzel Washington as the most basketball savvy fan (Jesus Shuttlesworth’s dad, everybody!), while paying respects to Jack. Some of the questions for Kupchak dealt with re-signing players such as Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza, or how much he thinks about the luxury tax when making a deal. In case you missed the live version, we’ve made it available to be viewed again – all 60 minutes of it. LIVE CHAT ARCHIVE |
