Lakers Draft Workouts: May 30, 2017

The Lakers evaluated six more college prospects on Tuesday, as pairs from the Pac-12 and ACC were joined by one of the top representatives of both the AAC and Mountain West.

Jaron Blossomgame | SF | Clemson | 6’7 | 220 | Sr.
It was an efficient final season for Blossomgame, who ranked 10th in the ACC in scoring (17.6) while placing sixth in rebounds (8.2). He was even better the year before, earning First Team all-conference honors in 2016.

Sterling Brown | SG | SMU | 6’6 | 230 | Sr.
The younger brother of former Laker Shannon Brown, Sterling did a bit of everything for the Mustangs, averaging 13.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. On the other end of the floor, he ranked seventh in the NCAA in defensive win shares (2.7).

“I can score the ball and I can definitely defend,” Brown said. “Those two things right there are pretty much what I tried to show.”

Tyler Dorsey | SG | Oregon | 6’4 | 194 | So.
“Mr. March” stepped it up with Oregon’s season on the line, scoring at least 20 points in all eight of the Ducks’ games at the Pac-12 Tournament and NCAA Tournament. All season long he was hot from deep, hitting the conference’s third-most 3-pointers (88) on a 42.3 percent clip.

“I feel like I’m a combo guard that can play on the ball and off the ball,” Dorsey said. “And I’m a two-way player who can defend the one and the two. And also my shooting ability off the dribble and catch-and-shoot.”

Cameron Oliver | PF | Nevada | 6’8 | 225 | So.
The Mountain West’s top shot deterrent, Oliver led the conference in blocks for both of his seasons at Reno (2.6). He was also a top-four rebounder each year and averaged the seventh-most points (16.0) in his last season.

Ivan Rabb | PF | California | 6’11 | 220 | So.
With a 7-foot-2 wingspan and 9-foot-1 standing reach, Rabb has the physical tools to take him into the next level. He is looking to build upon a First Team All-Pac-12 campaign that saw him average 14.0 points and a league-best 10.5 rebounds.

“I think [an NBA team] will benefit from me offensive rebounding,” Rabb said. “I think I do a good job of having my hands tapping balls out to players.”

Xavier Rathan-Mayes | PG/SG | Florida State | 6’4 | 207 | Jr.
Passing was Rathan-Mayes’ calling card, as he ranked among the ACC’s top six in assists for all three seasons at Florida State. He flashed his scoring ability as a freshman, putting up the conference’s ninth-most points per game (14.9).
