Laker Girl Blog - Lindsay

Hi Lakers fans!

My name is Lindsay and this my third year as a Los Angeles Laker Girl. I feel so fortunate to have been apart of so many amazing Lakers moments throughout these past three years.

These past seven months since tryouts have blown by! And I have so many memories, with much more to come!

It was really nice to hear all about my teammate's (Shelbie B.) trip to the NBA All-Star Weekend that took place in New Orleans.
I hope you read her blog... she came back to L.A. with lots of great stories!

At our home game against Houston, we performed a brand new routine! It's to the song "Safe and Sound". This routine is so much fun to perform - I've been listening to this song on the radio for months! I hope you Lakers fans enjoy this routine as much as I do! At this game, we also paid tribute to one of Lakers Legends - Gail Goodrich. He is one of our former Lakers player and his retired jersey (#25) hangs high in the rafters of STAPLES Center. It's always an amazing feeling to be able pay tribute to the "Lakers Greats" who impacted the game of basketball!

Make a note, next month starts our "Lunch with the Laker Girls" appearances at local Carl's Jr. stores across Southern California. I am looking forward to March because of these Carl's Jr. appearances! We get to meet a lot of Lakers fans, which is always a fun thing to get to do!

Speaking of Carl's Jr., my favorite item they serve is the Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich! I ask for this sandwich to be on a whole wheat bun because as an inspiring high school health teacher, it's better to make at least half your grains whole. (healthy tip!)

Well, I hope you didn't miss it... this past Friday was an amazing win against the Boston Celtics! The arena was super energetic the whole time!

It's always nice to see the streamers fall from the ceiling of the arena when we are victorious!

Last night we took on the Brooklyn Nets and were not so lucky, although it was a good game to watch! The Lakers team will now head out of town for a couple of games... make sure you watch the games to show your support.

Thanks for tuning in! Go Lakers!
