Laker Girls Blog 02/27/12 - Jennifer
Hi Lakers fans… its me, Jennifer!
I hope everyone is enjoying the season thus far… I can’t believe it’s almost March-- which means we only have two more months of the regular season! Time has flown by! If you attended the February 14th Valentine’s Day game vs. Atlanta, not only did you get to watch another Lakers win (Go Lakers!) but you should have received one of our gold “I
I’ve seen many of our dedicated fans wearing them beyond Valentine’s Day…..I must say, it is so encouraging to see the Lakers pride beyond the arena and out in great city of Los Angles!
Another highlight from the past two weeks was our home game on February 17th (vs. Phoenix). It was ANOTHER Lakers victory! That night also marked our second “Friday Night Live,” event. This event takes place prior to in which prior to every home game that falls on a Friday. At our “Friday Night Live” we offer the chance for Lakers fans to get the night started over at LA Live Plaza.v
We, the Laker Girls, are there as well signing autographs, taking pictures with fans and the Championship Trophy. I’m not quite sure if many of you knew that we have been doing this, and will continue to do so, for every Friday night Lakers home game throughout this season! So…… this is my personal invitation to YOU--- come on out!
We’d love to see you! :) The festivities start at 4pm every Friday Night!
Also, since I seem to be in the “invitation” mode, I want to encourage everyone to keep on the look-out for the “Lunch with the Laker Girls” appearances next month. The Laker Girls will be at many different Carl’s Jr. locations throughout Southern California signing photos and meeting all the Lakers fans. We might be coming to one near you. ;)
Well, those are some game and news highlights from the past couple of weeks. Although the Lakers team has been on the road a lot this month, we, the Laker Girls, have been busy representing L.A. here, at home. In addition to our weekly rehearsals, we have continued to attend numerous charity events and personal appearances. I would also like to mention that we have been dancing and cheering on our L.A. D-Fenders - they are the Development League team of the Los Angeles Lakers! These games take place at the Lakers Training Facility, in El Segundo, CA. You all should try to make it to one of their games soon – check out D-Fenders.com for the home schedule. The D-Fenders games are a lot of fun!
Thank you for reading our Laker Girls blog and for being such outstanding fans! We would not be able to feel the excitement at every Lakers game, if it weren’t for you!
I know we have the BEST fans in the whole world-- I see the Lakers pride at our games. Even when I’m driving around Southern California, I see Lakers stickers, car flags and license plate frames everywhere……It’s great!
Until next time, Let’s Go Lakers, Let’s go!
