Lakers Help Curb Domestic Violence
The Lakers and Verizon Wireless recently teamed up to help curb domestic violence. At a recent Lakers game, fans donated 171 used wireless phones and accessories to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program. HopeLine is the exclusive program of Verizon Wireless that awards grants of cash, phones and free airtime to non-profit domestic violence prevention agencies. Any make or model of wireless phones and equipment can be donated to the HopeLine program year-round at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store.
