Daphne Ng and Southern California Edison launched the Go Green initiative in 2008 to educate and assist consumers and small businesses in Southern California to adopt a green lifestyle by conserving energy at work and at home. Since the program's inception, they received much participation and have countless success stories.

Ryan has put much effort to conserve water in his household over the last few years. One day prior to showering, he noticed that he and his family members were each wasting a gallon of water by running it until it got hot enough for use. Ryan then had his family members capture the wasted water in buckets, which they later used to water their flowers and fruit trees. Through his efforts, Ryan is able to conserve water and keep his garden and fruit trees green and fresh.
Jordan started his own self funded recycling organization called, "Save a Bottle Save a Life". He distributes eco-friendly bags to homes throughout his neighborhood, picks them up when full, and takes the bottles and cans to be recycled. With the money he collects, Jordan buys canned foods to donate to local food banks. So far, he has personally raised enough money to donate fifteen hundred pounds of food.
Team Marine is led by Marine Biology Teacher, Ben Kay. These 11th and 12th grade students have donated hours of service to raise awareness for environmental issues. Some of their eco-projects include beach clean-ups, plastic bags and bottle cap drives, participations in environmental conferences and workshops, monitoring ocean water quality, and even lobbying in Sacramento to support bans on plastic bags and water bottles. Though the students efforts are local, their message has extended to millions by having been featured on several radio and TV news stations, and in over 2 dozen local newspaper articles.
DeAundri is the founder of Rescue Green, an environmental building consulting firm and design cooperative. As part of their grassroots efforts, Rescue Green teaches elementary and middle school kids on the concepts of sustainability and its core principals of recycling, reducing, and reusing.

Jan-Carlo organized and led a community group that battled graffiti off a lengthy pipeline bordering his alma mater, Saugus high. The project created awareness for the entire community to keep the city a cleaner place. Jan-Carlo also created a safety symposium for students that discussed the negative effects of chemicals from spray paints to our atmosphere. This fall, Jan-Carlo will start as a freshman at Harvard University pursuing a degree in environmental studies.
Adam is president of a youth founded and run organization called tree musketeers, where in 2007 he helped organize 600 volunteers to plant over 100 trees on imperial highway in El Segundo. Last year, Adam and tree musketeers started the partners for the planet tree planting campaign where they currently have 46,000 trees registered. Finally, Adam also serves as the ecology coordinator at his school.
Josephine is the president of the environmental care and global awareness club at her high school where she organizes trips to clean up the wetland reservations and local beaches. The club’s greatest accomplishment is the building of the chino community wetlands park from scratch.
Kim and Steve founded “Save Our Beach” a non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the water quality and cleanliness of our beaches. Solely a voluntary organization, Kim and Steve have organized countless beach clean-ups with the help of thousands of volunteers from elementary schools, college students, and businesses.
Tiffany regularly participates in trash cleanups at school and in her neighborhood, as well as at her local park and beach. Tiffany is also adamant about the recycling efforts in her home.
