Injury Report: Hill to Fly Back to L.A.

Seven minutes into L.A.'s loss to the Knicks on Sunday, Jordan Hill limped off the floor and into the training room after suffering a rectus femoris strain of the right quad.

Hill showed "little if any improvement since yesterday," according to Lakers spokesman John Black, and is thus flying back to Los Angeles on Tuesday morning to be examined by L.A.'s team doctors.

The team expects an update after the examination, which won't likely come until Wednesday evening.

Hill was very sore after the game, saying that he wouldn't be surprised to have to miss multiple games, but we'll have to wait for his visit with the doctors to see what's next.

Hill was coming off a very strong game against Chicago in which he scored 26 points with 12 boards in a double overtime win. He also had five boards with two points early against the Knicks.

Rookie center Tarik Black started the second half for Hill, though he finished with just two points and four boards in 18 minutes.

The Lakers have already missed a combined 167 games due to injury this season.
