Knicks to Play in 2010 NBA Summer League
NEW YORK, July 2, 2010 - Second-year guard Toney Douglas and third-year swingman Bill Walker will lead the New York Knickerbockers entry in the 2010 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, July 11-17. Douglas and Walker will also be joined on the Knicks 16-man roster by the team's two 2010 second round draft picks, Andy Rautins and Landry Fields.
In addition to the Knicks two returning roster players and two draft selections, New York's summer league entry will also feature a trio of former Knicks in forwards Patrick Ewing, Jr. and Marcus Landry along with center Chris Hunter.
New York will play five games beginning on July 11, all at Cox Pavilion. For the fifth consecutive year, all five of New York's summer league games will be televised locally on MSG. The Knicks are scheduled to play Denver, L.A. Lakers, Toronto, Detroit and Washington during the week, with all games beginning at 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. (PT). In addition, the team will hold a two-day mini-camp at Clark High School, July 9-10, with media availability following both sessions each day.
