Carmelo Anthony lifted the play of the entire team with an outstanding performance in a narrow loss.
Stat Of The Game
Without Amar'e Stoudemire or Chauncey Billups, Carmelo Anthony put forth one of the greatest performances in Knicks postseason history despite the loss, pouring in 42 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in just under 44 minutes of action.Turning Point
Jared Jeffries put the Knicks ahead 92-91 by converting a slashing lay-up with 20 ticks left, but Kevin Garnett came back down and nailed a short jumper over Jeffries, who played outstanding defense on the play, to put the C's up by one with 14 seconds left. The Knicks had a chance to take the lead, but Garnett deflected a Jeffries pass then called a time-out after recovering the ball to seal the win for the home team.Quote Of The Game

"The Celtics didn't do anything special. They won two games on their home court. Now it's our turn to go to our home court and try to do the same thing."
- Carmelo Anthony
