- One of the most popular, tenacious and electrifying players in Knicks history, John is in his third season as a member of the team’s front office (named on Oct. 6, 2004)... Involved in day-to-day efforts to expand Knicks Alumni Relations, Community Relations and Fan Development programs... Serves as pre-and-post-game analyst on MSG Network’s home game Knicks coverage... Provides support in sponsor, suite sales and marketing efforts.
- All-out style stamped him as one of city’s most popular athletes during memorable eight-year Knicks career (1990-91 through 1997-98)... NBA All-Star in 1994, All-Defensive Second Team in 1992-93, League’s Sixth Man of the Year in 1996-97... Averaged 14.1 points as a Knick...Knicks’ career leader in three-point field goals (982), 11th in total points (8,489), eighth in assists (2,394), seventh in steals (711)... Authored one of the most famous plays in team history - “The Dunk” - in final minute of NY’s win over Chicago in Game Two of 1993 Eastern Conference Finals (May 25, 1993).
- Averaged 12.5 points over standout 13-year NBA career with Golden State (1988-89, and 1998-99 through 1999-2000), Knicks (1990-91 through 1997-98), Chicago (1999-2000) and Utah (2000-01 through 2001-02)...
